LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's tennis team is set to open the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule by visiting Penn State Altoona on Saturday, Sept. 5.

A Look Back at 2025-26
Lock Haven finished 3-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play. The Bald Eagles earned 5-2 victories over Penn College, Lycoming and Clarion, with the Clarion win serving as the team's conference victory.
 
Singles leaders
Marchioni paced The Haven with a team-best four singles victories, finishing 4-7 overall. She was especially effective at the No. 3 position, where she posted a 4-6 record, and also earned a win at No. 1 singles.
 
Megan Ferris added three singles wins, all at the top of the lineup, going 3-9 at No. 1 singles. Breanna Chicas and Maci Rohrbach each collected two singles victories, while Alyse Bass and Emily Brinker recorded one win apiece.


 
Doubles leaders
Lapinski and Blasetti formed Lock Haven's most successful doubles tandem, posting a 3-3 overall record and a 2-1 conference mark. The duo went 3-3 at No. 3 doubles and entered the end of the reporting period on a one-match winning streak.
 
Marchioni and Ferris also produced three doubles wins, finishing 3-5 overall at the No. 1 position. The pair accounted for Lock Haven's most victories at the top doubles flight.
 
In individual doubles competition, Ferris and Marchioni led the Bald Eagles with four wins apiece. Lapinski and Blasetti each finished with two doubles victories, while Chicas and Rohrbach also recorded two wins apiece.


 
The Road Ahead
Lock Haven will host its first home match Saturday, Sept. 19, welcoming Penn College to the Lock Haven Tennis Courts for a 1 p.m. contest.
 
The Bald Eagles will close the fall portion of the schedule Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Lycoming College in Williamsport. That match is scheduled for 4 p.m.
 
Lock Haven returns to action in the spring with a March 31 matchup at Bloomsburg. The Bald Eagles will then host Shippensburg on April 3 and Millersville on April 10.
 
The team will continue its spring schedule with road matches at East Stroudsburg on April 14 and West Chester on April 17 before closing the regular season at home against Kutztown on April 24.
 
Match times for the spring contests will be announced at a later date. All home matches will be held at the Lock Haven Tennis Courts.
