Women’s soccer wins fourth straight, blanks Edinboro 1-0

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Lock Haven women's soccer goalkeeper Devon Mason recorded her fourth consecutive shutout as the Bald Eagles took down Edinboro, 1-0, at home in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division battle on Saturday afternoon at Hubert Jack Stadium.
 
The Bald Eagles honored senior Riley Houck prior to the match for Senior Day.
 
Lock Haven has won four matches in a row, all by shutout, to improve to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the PSAC West on the year. The Bald Eagles have already matched their win total from 2025, while surpassing their win total in the conference.
 
Edinboro falls to 2-3-1 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
 
Maci Shaffer scored the lone goal in the 52nd minute and Mason recorded her fourth straight shutout in net to secure the win.
 
After a scoreless first half, Shaffer broke through early in the second period. Sydney Linus and Lily O'Brien combined on the setup for Shaffer, who scored her third goal of the season at the 52-minute mark to give the Bald Eagles the 1-0 lead.
 
Edinboro held a 14-6 edge in total shots and generated 10 attempts in the first half, but the Lock Haven defense limited the Scots to two shots on target.
 
Shaffer led the Bald Eagles with two shots, both of which were on target. Riley Egresits added two shots and one shot on goal off the bench, while Green recorded an assist after registering one shot.
 
Next up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles hit the road and will visit Indiana (Pa.) at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16 in PSAC West action.
