Student-Athletes Make the Grade; Teams Hit Impressive GPA Marks (2025-26)

19 of Lock Haven’s 21 athletic programs recorded a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.

Among many athletic accomplishments, the Bald Eagles continued to put "student" first in student-athlete during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
In all, 19 of Lock Haven's 21 athletic programs achieved a team grade-point-average of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic and athletic seasons.
 
On July 1, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its full list of 2025-26 individual scholar-athletes and 242 Bald Eagles were named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar Athletes.
 
The Bald Eagles were also well represented on the first ever PSAC Academic All-Conference Teams (Fall, Winter, Spring), to view the honorees, click here.
 
The Havens softball team recorded the highest team GPA at 3.57 and the women's cross country team followed closely at 3.55. On the men's side, the men's cross country team held the highest team GPA (3.33). Men's soccer and men's track and field tied for second (3.28).
 
The 19 Lock Haven teams that hit the high mark (3.0 Team GPA or higher) during the 2025-26 season included: volleyball (3.38), men's soccer (3.28), women's soccer (3.48), men's cross country (3.33), women's cross country (3.55), tennis (3.42), women's basketball (3.20), swimming (3.42), men's indoor and outdoor track & field (3.28), women's indoor and outdoor track & field (3.45), baseball (3.23), softball (3.57), lacrosse (3.48), field hockey (3.36), women's golf (3.25), women's wrestling (3.01) and men's wrestling (3.11).
 
Overall, over 40 Lock Haven student athletes were named to various Academic All-District Teams.
