LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven baseball team hosted Indiana (Pa.) in the back half of the series at Watkins Field on Saturday. IUP won both games, 14-5 and 14-3.
Game One: Indiana (Pa.) 14, Lock Haven 5
The Crimson Hawks opened the game with two runs in the first inning to climb to an early 2-0 lead. The Haven answered with three runs in the home half of the first, thanks to two wild pitches and a
Robert Furino RBI-double.
After the first, IUP scored 12 runs over the stretch of the rest of the contest, as Lock Haven was unable to complete a comeback.
Gardner Fravel and
Jerry Lambert each had two base knocks for the Bald Eagles.
Game Two: Indiana (Pa.) 14, Lock Haven 3
In the nightcap, Lock Haven got the scoring started early in the second thanks to a Crimson Hawk wild pitch.
However, IUP scored six runs in the top of the third and never looked back.
Kaden Rodarmel (BB) and
Wyatt Harrar (1B) picked up the lone RBIs for The Haven.
Will Langdon,
Kellen Jackson,
Jamie Martoccio, Harrar and Furino each picked up base hits in game two.
