CLEVELAND – Avery Bassett, Tucker Hogan and Gable Strickland of the Lock Haven men's wrestling team were named to the Mid-American Conference (MAC) All-Academic Team, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
 
The Mid-American Conference placed 59 wrestlers on this year's 2025-26 Academic All-MAC team.

Bassett went 25-9 at 174 pounds as a senior with a 6-1 record in the MAC. Bassett finished the year with three pins, three tech falls and five major decisions, while qualifying for the NCAA DI Championship in Cleveland for the second time in his career.
 
Strickland also qualified for the National Championship at 133 pounds, where he made his third appearance in his standout career. The senior went 26-12 this season, with six tech falls, two pins and four major decisions. Strickland also placed third at the MAC Championships.
 
Strickland and Bassett both went over 100 wins in their careers.
 
Hogan went 19-12 on the mats as a sophomore and finished with eight tech falls and three major decisions. Hogan finished fourth at the MAC Championship.
 
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. First-year students and ANY transfer students in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
