Lacrosse opens PSAC West play with win over Edinboro

Bald Eagles soar to 19-7 victory over Edinboro in 2026 PSAC Western Division opener.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven lacrosse team opened Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division play today (Saturday, March 21) at home and the Bald Eagles picked up a dominating, 19-7, victory over visiting Edinboro (1-5, 0-1 PSAC West).
 
Picked third in the PSAC West Preseason Coaches' poll, Lock Haven improved to 4-2 overall (1-0 PSAC West).
 
The Bald Eagles are now 3-1 at home on the Charlotte Smith Field turf this season.
 
The Haven led 11-4 at halftime as Makayla Kelly and Gabby Gunnip combined for nine total goals on the day. Kelly netted five and Gunnip scored four times.
 
Addi Reidle netted a hat trick and added an assist. Lexi Bunk and Hadley Munn both scored twice. Allore Needle, Addy Palm and Maddy Raspen each recorded one goal in the victory.
 
Peyton Masters dished out three assists to pace the offense.
 
Mackenna Brown led a defensive unit that was credited with 16 caused turnovers. Brown had two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
 
Goalkeeper Gretchen King made eight saves in 30 minutes of action and Landyn Dayton made two stops in 21-plus minutes of play as The Haven used three goalkeepers on the way to the PSAC Western Division win.
 
Up Next for Lock Haven:
The Bald Eagles will head to nationally-ranked Seton Hill on Wednesday, March 25 for a 3 p.m. PSAC West contest.
