MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's basketball team traveled to Millersville, Pa. to face the Marauders in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East road contest. Millersville pulled away late to win the game 86-69.
The Bald Eagles fell to 9-15 overall and 5-12 in PSAC play.
Millersville improved to 17-8 on the season and 12-6 in PSAC play.
In a hard-fought first half Millersville pulled away 44-35 before the break. The Bald Eagles came out of the locker room and went on a 17-6 run to claim a 52-50 lead with 14:36 left to go.
Millersville quickly responded with a 12-2 run to make it 62-54. After the run the Bald Eagles would never come closer than five points. The Marauders closed the game on a 22-10 run to earn their 17
th victory of the season.
Dyllon Scott was Lock Haven's leading scorer with 17 points while knocking down a team-high three 3-pointers.
Blake Deegan scored 14 points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Dean Coleman-Newsome added 13 points and dished out a pair of assists.
Luke Kennevan and
Keith Warren rounded out the Bald Eagles with double figures. Kennevan had 11 points and a team-high four assists. Warren scored 10 points and claimed three assists.
Lock Haven finished the game 24-59 (41%) from the field, 9-23 (39%) from three and 12-13 (92%) from the free-throw line.
Millersville won the rebounding battle 37-30 and only committed eight turnovers to Lock Haven's 10.
