LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Brayden Frair has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Cross Country Freshman of the Year award for his efforts this past fall.

Friar was the top Bald Eagle finisher in the PSAC Championships in Edinboro. Friar finished seventh out of 154 finishers, covering the 8,000-meter course in 25:06.7. The top-15 finish granted Friar First Team All-PSAC honors.

Friar had other notable accomplishments along his freshman campaign, finishing top-five at the Highlander Invitational (24:54.7). He was also the Bald Eagles' lead runner at the Dolan Duels and The Br. John "Paddy" Doyle Meet of Champions.

The Freshman of the Year was also the lead runner for The Haven at the Lock Haven Invitational, placing 13th among 100 runners.

Friar is the first Lock Haven runner to win the award since Korey Replogle did back in 2013.
